REGISTER WALL
Kara Quaker Bridge Mall

When preparing to open Kara's Quaker Bridge Mall location, I was responsible for addressing the wall behind the registers. The previous store had left some fasteners and damage to the existing wall, so I chose to create an installation that would completely cover the wall rather than attempt to remove the existing attachments and refinish the sheetrock.
I first covered the wall in a light teal canvas fabric to create a solid background and cover any imperfections. Then I created a gradient using different shades of blue tulle that were pleated and layered. Finally, I attached Kara's precut acrylic logo letters. They stood out slightly from the wall and the tulle to create a more three-dimensional effect.

As Kara had only a temporary lease on the store, they were very conscious of budget and wanted to completely move into the store as soon as possible. The installation was completed over the course of a day, and the entire cost was under $300. The materials and processes I used were also very unobtrusive so the rest of the store could be stocked while I was installing without risk of damaging any merchandise.
