At Kara New York's new space at Garden State Plaza, there was a large wall right inside the entry way which needed to be addressed. As it was visible to passerby in the mall and the first thing customers saw as they entered the store, the wall was a prime opportunity to showcase the store's brand and attract visitors.

I chose to create an installation using tissue paper flowers that would surround a Kara logo. I had only a couple days to complete the project before the store opened, so I used a mixture of hand-made and pre-made flowers to expedite the process. The handmade flowers added variety and elevated the project beyond the "party store" look of the pre-made flowers. I was able to assemble and install the flowers over a period of two days.

In addition to the wall installation, we added two mannequins in the entry way to showcase Kara's newest styles.
